St Chads Communication Centre

 

 Welcome back to our friends and families for 2011.

St Chads Communication Centre Trust we set up in 1982. Initially used as a base by Lucilla Quin for helping people learn through using music. Today it is a unique facility for the Rotorua Community, ably governed by Trustees who are committed to the philosophy of enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities.

St Chads provides:

  • A daily meeting place for people of all ages and all disabilities
  • A commitment to people of all cultures
  • Programmes to:
        • promote personal growth and independence
        • develop life and recreation skills
        • provide opportunities to learn and maintain skills
        • explore self expression through music, art and creative activities
        • foster and support inclusion in the community
        • promote communication, relaxation and education through music
  • Music session for:
      • adults with special needs
      • children with special needs

    We believe that people with disabilities can and do make a valued contribution to our community.

    That people are supported to make good, well informed decisions regarding their lives.
